A SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) is a chip you buy from the cellular carrier who provides you with service.
No tickee, no washee - gotta have it.
Buy it at the Cingular store when you set up your account, or have them snail one to you if you set up your account by phone or over the wire...
that is, if there isn't one already in the phone. Have you checked under the door on the back to see if it's empty, or if there's a card there?
