Suggestion for your FAQ on cases.

All Models:
Aluminum cases -- even ones with clear opening for screen,
cause signal falloff of about 6 dBm --
which is a reduction to about 25% of ambient signal
(each 3 dBm is 50% loss)

suggestion for FAQ on signal strength

Verizon XV6600
In the Windows directory you will find a
listing for 'fieldtrial.exe' -- open it when the
phone is on, and you will see field strength
of your provider's signal and other
data instantly updated.

Others
If you cannot find fieldtrial.exe, there is a zipped
version below.

Suggestion for FAQ on turning the
phone on and off.

For Verizon XV6600
The only way to turn the phone on and off
is by pressing the icon for the signal strength
(the bars) and then selecting "Flight Mode".
This will work for on or off. If you want this to
be toggled by the Phone Off button, see:
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...threadid=42092

For Others
If your phone already defaults to this (END button
toggles phone) changing the data to "0" will
turn it into a toggle to Turn off an open CDMA data connection
if held down.
