Bluetooth Motorola 810 Headset not reliable & Voice Command not working w/Bluetooth
1) There is some weird lockup that come when I close the boom on my motorola and reopen it (to save batteries). Sometimes (about 40% of the time) it repairs and all is well. About 30% of the time, it locks up. And the rest of the time it just doesn't work--it uses internal speakers/mic on the iPAQ.
2) If I boot up the iPaq and use it for a while, then try to pair the headset later, sometimes (about 60% of the time) it will work. And even then, about half the time afterwards it will lock up in some wierd way hours later.
3) The ONLY way that I've been able to reliably use the headset is to
a) Reboot iPAQ
b) Immediately turn on my headset (open the boom).
c) Play something in Windows Media. I hear the noise. Sometimes (about 20% of the time, I have to reboot here to get past this point--repeating steps a&b).
d) Stop playing music.
e) Close Windows Media.
Now it works, as long as I don't close the boom on my Motorola BT810.
4) I've noticed that if I take a call with the buttons on the iPAQ--end users cannot hear me. When I answer with the button on the headset--they hear me OK. No explanation as to why in the headset manual, but I suspect that the gain on the microphone is different with the bluetooth headset.
5) Voice Command: I think that Microsoft's Voice Command fails because the gain on the bluetooth headset is different from the internal microphone when being used. IF SO IT SHOULD BE EASY TO PATCH--JUST REGAIN THE MIC WHEN VOICE COMMAND IS LAUNCH. YOU COULD WRITE A SHIM APP THAT INSTALLS BETWEEN VOICE COMMAND AND THE LAUNCHER PROGRAM THAT IS TIED TO THE BUTTON THAT TWEAKS ON THE VOLUME, THEN TURNS IT DOWN AFTER 20 SECONDS--OR WHEN THE SPAWNED LAUNCHER IS DONE RUNNING, ETC.
