Thanks for letting me know that I am not alone. Mine came with an extrernal mike as well as one of these ear-bud handsfree things. Neither works in either of the two jacks. One on top the other above the volume control. The photo shows an ext. mike in the upper jack, but it says SPKR oddly enough.
I called SEIDO and the nice lady said she understood the compaint and said they will replace it. So le't see.
ALSO on another but related subject, I am looking into the Mapopolis software for the Treo and the GPS rcvr that came with the 2500 - has anyo had any eperience with this yet?

However there seems to be a design problem. Seidio informs me:
"For G2500, the external microphone goes into the jack above the volume control. the ear piece goes into the jack at the top marked SPK"
However, the only way to hear the speaker is by turning up the volume, which creates feedback from the microphone (the echo). So you have to turn down the speaker completely to eliminate it. Catch-22. Also, there does not seem to be a way to switch between speakerphone mode and headset mode. There should be an external speaker jack as on other car kits, so you can place the speaker in a remote location (under the dash). That would eliminate the feedback. There should also be a jack for an external microphone, and a separate one for the headset, and the switch should select between headset mode and speakerphone mode.
I hope Seidio is reading this... [/quote]
