I bought the BAFO also. Let me know if you get Activesync to work correctly with it.
It seems that you can't really modify the BT software much and the COM ports are 8 or 9. I get connected and AS sees the device, but says it is "unrecognized." I can do AS with IR and USB and it works fine.
