I would say software would be a key issue there. Blackberry is way down on the list when it comes to 3rd party apps. I would have tried one of the new BB devices if I'd only been able to find an ebook reader for it. However, I still think this type of device can survive in a PPC/Palm world, since so many end users just want access to email and light web browsing on the road in a compact device that doesn't need a lot of tweeking.
