Tom,
Nope, just was trying to help someone else with a question and got into the pilot arena where weather is a big issue.
Something interesting, is the Palm network. Supposedly, it is there own network set up on all kinds of radio towers, and is independent of and different from cellular systems. Thus, some claim using a palm pilot and nexrad for a couple hundred bucks could be used in small planes instead of a $5,000.00+ approved radar systems by the FAA. Thus, getting around the rule that cellular can not be used. Maybe that is why the Nexrad program was stopped.
