I think Verizon offers a free month for text messaging and 2.99 a mo for 100 messages. How do I use the messaging feature if I want to send a message to my wifes computer to her email address?
Do I first have to download the email program that is on the Kyo CD to get going after I sign up?

VZW was offering unlimited SMS for 2.99/month through June 30 which then reverts to 100 messages/month for that price after June 30. I believe yesterday was the last day to get in on the promotion (and the CS rep hinted that he thought there would be a new plan or promotion starting July 1 to replace it).
You can send SMS to email directly from the SMS messages application but of course, once the unlimited promotion expires, they will come out of your plan or cost .10 each if you aren't on an SMS plan.
You can also do email from your phone (including email to SMS), either with Eudora email, which is in ROM on the phone, or Mobile Mail from the CD, or several other Palm email programs. This is slower since you need to establish a connection to send it, and the time to send it and disconnect comes out of your minutes unless you are on the unlimited Express network plan.
