I recall reading some articles about how CDMA phones will be rather slow to adopt bluetooth. The problem is primarily related to the wireless chipsets available. Most (all?) CDMA chipsets are made by Qualcomm. Several chipsets are available from multiple manufacturers for GSM, and GSM is used by more carriers worldwide.
SO the current and near-term CDMA chipsets don't have Bluetooth support integrated. Some of the GSM ones do which is why we're starting to see integrated Bluetooth support on many GSM phones...
