Hello everybody!

Well, Maritza emailed me a little while ago urging me to post an update, so here I am!

Jocelyn Elizabeth was born on January 26th. She was 7lbs. 13ozs. and 20" long. She's now almost 14 lbs. and 24" at 10 weeks old.

We just had her 2 month check up. She does NOT like getting shots! She hasn't cried that hard since she was born! Nearly broke my heart!:bawling

The Doc says she's 90/97 percentile and she's doing great! A little flat spot on the back of her head, but we're working on keeping her off her back more to let it round out.

She's such a good little baby! She's very content and happy. We can almost always get her to smile and laugh! Its so cute! She started sleeping all night after about a week and a half. Lately she's been staying up watching TV while her mom and I go to bed! One of us usually gets up to turn the TV off after she's zonked. She's so cute, she'll just sit there watching TV, its like she's absorbed by the story! Very funny. (its actually the flashing and moving light that she likes, but still, she's so cute!)

We had quite an experience finding a car seat to fit my car. I've got a Honda Insight, which is a two seater. Since it has airbags I can't just put any old car seat into it or it wouldn't be safe. After getting the runaround for a couple weeks trying to have an airbag kill switch installed I stumbled upon a car seat called the "Pioneered" by a company called XSCi. This car seat was designed specifically for the front seat of cars with airbags. It deflects and absorbs the impact of an airbag, protecting the baby from it. They list for over $200, but I found a used one on eBay and got it for $100 plus shipping. Its so big it almost doesn't fit on the seat (it touches the dashboard in my little car) but it sure is nice knowing that she's safe riding with me. The company has been great too. I called them to ask about some replacement parts (fabric liner and rubber foot) and they just took my address and said they'd send them out to me! No charge! Neat-o!

I've been so busy lately that I haven't really gotten any pictures of her posted anywhere. I'll work on that and post back later.
