Based on posts regarding testing and retesting - looks like the marketing boys got ahead (more than a little?) of the engineers (see Dilbert comic strips for numerous examples - LOL) and they ran into unanticipated technical problems. I can't help but believe that they are going all out 24/7 to get this puppy on the street ASAP - but when a retest finds something new to fix - requiring retesting, it takes a while.
As others have pointed out, although those on the bleeding edge will put up with some less than optimal behaviors, john or jane q. public are likely to be much less tolerant (especially at these prices) and in order to eliminate/minimize bad customer experience and associated press, VZ/Kyo are trying to get it right. looks like that may be soon if the phone is actually in "friendly testing" as is currently rumored.
But there I go - being logical again - LOL  |
