If you touch the display when in phone mode, you get this annoying message: 'The phone application is not touch-sensitive.' To which I can only ask: Why not? You can dial a number from the Palm address book, but, lacking the Handspring Treo's scroll wheel and quick search functions, it's almost impossible to do one-handed."
I posted this same question a week or two ago and was assured that one can use the Palm feature (to, say, look up a date in the calendar) while talking on the phone.

I have answered this before, but I'll do it one more time as rebuttal to the article (ever notice that any time you read an article about something you personally know about, you see how BAD reporting is today?).
You can use all PALM applications while on the phone, and the screen is touch sensitive. There are a couple of applications specifcally having to do with controlling the phone which do not have touch sensitive components. They require the scroll and OK buttons to navigate. If you touch the screen while one of htese applications is running, you will get the error message telling you to use the scroll and OK buttons. That's it. No mystery, no problem.....
