I would wager that in the 10+ year history of mobile phones, there not been a single phone released with a "non-backlit" keypad.
Even if they originally created the phone w/ no backlight I think that in the approximately 18 months of teasing the public someone (or three) would have mentioned.....that the emperor has no clothes on.....

Unless they figure the palm screen is so bright that its light will be enough to shine down on the keys... I wonder if thats whats happening and it just washes out the existing keypad lights cause its so bright and the reviewer couldnt tell they were on. __________________
