I just can see buying a $550 phone that might one day support fact data that will never support analog roam and one day this summer or fall there will be a version is likly to have analog support but defenetly will have some upgrade that might run right might not and will give me the ability to download email for the some of $40 per month, and with sprint I can down load the same data in a mere 92 minutes at 14.4 not counting connect and reconeect time (the reconect time i have only had to do but once or twice the whole time I have been with sprint) so even if it takes 120 phone min. to down load 10MB of data 40/month gets well over 300 anytime min or more added to any SprintPCS plan.

then when 3G is available (and we assume that it getts 100Kbps) well slower than the designed 144 ) then it would take 13.3 min to download if we assume an equal amount of time to connect (Highly Unlikly) that 26min. again I remind you that the extra $40 month gets more than 300 min. extra, enough time to download some where between 100-200MB of data depenbding on the amount of time spent connecting to the web. aprox 45 seconds. each time.

I sell GPRS and I will tell you how its great at the store, only because I get a $50 check from Voice stream for each new phone activation with istream service.

However I will Stand buy the fact that CDMA is a far better technology and you can take your GMS and your Euros back to the old country if you dont like the all american cell phone system. LOL
